Capital Horizon is a free, browser-based financial-life simulation game. This page explains exactly what happens to data when you use it. The short version: your game saves never leave your own device, we never ask you for an account, and the site is paid for by advertising.
Your game data stays on your device
Capital Horizon has no user accounts and no server-side database. Everything you create in
the game — saved games, your character, settings, theme preference, Hall of Fame entries — is
stored locally in your own browser using localStorage and IndexedDB. None of it
is transmitted to us or to anyone else. Clearing your browser's site data for this domain
permanently deletes it, and we have no copy.
Advertising
This site is supported by advertising served by Google AdSense. In connection with that:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you will be shown a consent choice before any personalised advertising or analytics cookies are set. If you decline, or if your network blocks ad domains, the game and all site features continue to work normally — the ad slots simply stay empty.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate usage — how many people visit, which pages they read, and how far they get into a game. This is used to improve the product. It is subject to the same consent choice described above, and we do not attempt to identify individual visitors.
Children
Capital Horizon is intended for a general audience, including classroom use with teenage students. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, of any age, because we collect no personal information at all — there are no accounts, forms, or sign-ups.

Capital Horizon is an educational simulation. Its numbers, rates and outcomes are modelled for teaching and for gameplay, not calibrated to any particular country, tax code or market. Nothing on this site or in the game is financial, investment, tax or legal advice. For decisions about your own money, consult a qualified professional.
